Water, power, aerodromes, roads and waterbodies. This image highlights the field evidence of items mentioned in the recent State of the Nation Address by President Mahama. Working from left to right, we can see the new water line from Kpong to Tema being installed, the essential main power lines to Tema from the Akosombo hydroelectric station, the Tema-Akosombo highway, Kpong Airfield (the busiest private airfield in West Africa) and the Volta River. Infrastructure is essential for development. Well maintained and functional infrastructure is the key to sustainable development.
